Gratitude
A wise little lady once told me that the key to happiness is gratitude. As I celebrated Thanksgiving last weekend surrounded by two loving family, I felt overwhelmingly blessed. The weekend started at the MacLaren-Croft household where we celebrated a their beautiful new home and Katie's 21st birthday. Though a piece of our family puzzle was missing, we still had a great time.
The turkey weekend continued at Elliot St, where we met the newest feline Josue - Ruby Dee! We also watched in amazement as Lucy walked and ran around the house with no help at all!
I often forget to take the time to stop and take a look around. I am always looking 5 steps forward, that I forget to see the beauty in the present. I am incredibly grateful for the family and friends I have in my life, and those who watch from above. For a cat who cuddles me every morning, and a man who rides the waves of my emotional heart without fear. For a home that is always growing and a job that fulfills my dreams. I am thankful for a heart and mind that is searching for balance, but not perfection. Though I can feel overwhelmed in my daily life, in the moments of silence I remember how far I've come and how happy I am to be here.
